Tom Bowcutt has a degree in physics and has worked in the energy industry since 2001, primarily in short-term wholesale power markets. At the start of his career, Tom was a member of various industry expert groups developing imbalance pricing rules for the GB market. He has been involved in development of multiple technology platforms for optimisation and trading of generation assets across Europe. More recently, he has been involved in the management of batteries and flexible assets for wholesale and frequency response services. Currently Tom is working to provide unique market insights to short term power traders via grid monitoring devices.
