Bank Of Boston Develops Object-Oriented Risk Management System

The Bank of Boston (BoB) is implementing a new proprietary real-time market and credit risk management system across its global network of dealing centres.

BoB's new risk software, dubbed the Treasury Risk Management System (TRMS), uses distributed object technology to calculate value-at-risk (VAR) and other risk measures, according to bank officials.

TRMS was developed by internal bank IT staff with help from the Fusion Systems Group, a New York-based information systems consultancy.
