Policy administration presents an enormous challenge to insurance companies in Germany today. Not only are there substantial new rules and regulations to implement, but there is intense pressure to cut costs and competitive challenges that can only be met through more efficient and flexible operations. At the same time, many companies are stuck with archaic systems that are time consuming and costly to upgrade, while some IT departments present powerful barriers to change.
