CDC Ixis AM selects Riskdata for hedge fund risk management

CDC Ixis Asset Management, the asset management arm of French investment bank CDC Ixis, has bought Riskdata's HEDGiX service to help manage its alternative investment portfolio.

“For us, serious risk management, particularly for alternative investments, means having total control of the models used to estimate the behaviour of assets," said Nathalie Pistre, head of risk management at CDC Ixis AM. He added that easy implementation and maintenance were important requirements for any risk management system. Pistre said Riskdata was a natural choice, as it offered an 'all-in-one' service and was the only application service provider technology that allowed proprietary data and the models to remain under the user's full control.
