Sophis updates buy-side software

Sophis, a risk management technology vendor based in Paris, has released Value v2.0, a new version of its product for buy-side insitutions.

Sophis says Value handles cash and derivatives equity, fixed income, interest rate and foreign exchange products. Sophis says the new version covers more fixed income and interest rate derivatives, including interest rate swaps, bond floaters, bond futures, interest rate futures and options on interest rate futures. The new version also allows users to automate their reconciliation with administrators and prime brokers, and it adds real-time compliance management.

Value is derived from Sophis' investment banking product, Risque, which it has adapted to handle investment managers' requirements. Sophis says it now offers integrated front office, risk management and connectivity capabilities in a single straight-through–processing system.

Value is currently used by a dozen investment management companies, including AXA, CDC Ixis Asset Management, Astin Capital Management, Maple Leaf Capital and Mail Capital.
