Moneyline Telerate to offer GFI repo data

Moneyline Telerate will offer access to inter-dealer broker GFI’s European repo data in the next couple of months, and plans to offer other GFI data later this year.

The move follows a tie-up that will see Moneyline Telerate offering GFI foreign exchange options and emerging markets eurobond data today. Moneyline Telerate is the first major vendor to carry GFI’s data, although the broker said it plans to make its data available through other companies later this year.

The deal extends an existing partnership in which GFI publishes its foreign exchange option revaluation fixings service over Moneyline Telerate’s services in Feburary.

GFI already provides foreign exchange energy and credit data sourced from its brokerage desks and electronic systems to banking clients directly via a feed and through its web portal. Now it wants to broaden its distribution channels.

"Some banks want to access the data through the market data vendors they use, so we are offering clients more choice," said Michel Everaert, GFI’s global head of product marketing.
