Yongqin Wang

Yongqin Wang - Fudan University

Yongqin Wang is professor of economics at School of Economics, Fudan University. His research focuses on financial economics and macro finance (recently he was particularly interested in collateral and its role in finance and macroeconomics). He has published papers in top international finance journals including Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Financial Intermediation and top Chinese journals. He has published ten books in English and Chinese on China’s finance and economic development. He got his PhD in economics from Fudan University. He have done post-doc research at Yale University from 2008-2010 (studying with Prof. John Geanakoplos) and have been a Fulbright Visiting Scholar in 2016-2017, working with Prof. Oliver Hart (Nobel laureate in economics in 2016). He is also the director of Fudan-Greencourt Institute for Emerging Financial Markets.
