Eurozone funds favoured US equities in Q2

Investment funds also bought up eurozone bank stocks

Investment funds in the eurozone bought a net €45.4 billion ($53.8 billion) of listed equities issued by US companies over Q2, while continuing to dump stocks from domestic companies.

The total value of funds US equity holdings, including both public and private issuances, hit €1.37 trillion over the three months to end-June, up 21% quarter-on-quarter. US securities made up 33% of funds’ total holdings in Q2, their largest share going back to Q4 2008.

Total equity holdings stood at €4.17
