First Union Opts For Distributed Risk Approach
FIRST Union National Bank of North Carolina has rolled out a "proof-of-concept" version of its new capital markets risk management architecture, according to bank officials.
The bank is avoiding traditional data warehousing approaches to company-wide risk management, however. Instead, it has built its new architecture around "middleware" message passing technology.
