Case against 'rogue trader' draws to a close as the prosecution delivers its closing speech

The trial of the accused rogue trader, Kweku Adoboli, neared an end today as Sasha Wass, for the prosecution, delivered her closing speech.

Adoboli faces two charges of fraud and four of false accounting relating to trades that caused, as Wass described, "the largest trading loss in UK banking history". UBS lost $2.3 billion as a result of Adoboli's actions. He denies the charges against him.

Wass today described Adoboli's defence as "ridiculous", claiming he has admitted to the actions that
