Adoboli compares self to rogue trader Kerviel

Kweku Adoboli speaks out in favour of Jerôme Kerviel

The accused UBS rogue trader, Kweku Adoboli, compared himself in a London court today to the fraudster Jerôme Kerviel.

Adoboli faces six charges of fraud and false accounting relating to trades that lost the bank $2.3 billion in 2011. He denies the charges.

Sasha Wass, for the prosecution, told the court Adoboli was a "copycat" of Kerviel.

Kerviel caused a loss of €4.9 billion to Société Générale in 2008. He put on large directional trades using equity index futures and hid the fact he had
