Icap Energy announce acquisition of biofuels broker Sun Commodities

London-based interdealer broker Icap Energy has agreed to purchase Sun Commodities, a biofuels broker based in Geneva.

Upon successful completion of the acquisition, Icap Energy will be able to provide brokerage services for physical and derivative contracts on European bioethanol, biodiesel and vegetable oils from rapeseed, soya and palm. This will add to Icap Energy's current alternative fuel activities, which include broking for swaps and futures on US and Brazilian ethanol.
