NATS, one of the world's largest air navigation services providers, landed more than £1.5 million in savings after the independent energy broker Bergen Energi UK installed an electricity procurement programme, to counteract volatile power prices.

The hedging strategy and portfolio management scheme involves forward buying and price optimisation on the UK power markets.
