Rachel Morison concludes her two-part series by looking at the impact of smart grids on supply and demand fundamentals and possible changes to the traded markets

The smart grid is already being rolled out in some countries across Europe and, while it will be a long time before the vision of total supply and demand management is complete, energy market participants should be aware of the potentially huge changes it could bring, say experts.
