Essent Trading in bio-coal deal with Stramproy Green

The prospects for a new biofuel, known as bio-coal, have been significantly boosted by a landmark deal closed in August this year between Netherlands-based Essent Trading, now part of RWE Group, and Dutch bio-coal producer Stramproy Green. The two companies signed a five-year contract for Stramproy to deliver 90,000 tonnes of bio-coal to Essent on a yearly basis with a total contract capacity of 450,000 tonnes, marking this the first time such large scale volumes of bio-coal have been used
