FSA stresses benefits of principles-based regulation

Principles-based regulation will mean significant changes for firms, says Waters

Dan Waters, Asset Management Sector Leader at the FSA, has given a speech regarding the FSA's move to more principles-based regulation.
Waters highlighted the fact that a move to more principles-based regulation implies significant changes for firms. The FSA is challenging firms to think much more in terms of the regulatory outcomes that the FSA is seeking to achieve, rather than focusing on a series of preordained processes and procedures.
