A silver lining for quants

Salaries might be flat at best compared with 2007 but quants' unique skillsets are in demand

Hutton Consulting recently surveyed 75 hiring managers across the quant arena. Our expectations were for a universal theme of gloom when talking to credit quants, and it has to be said that all the people we spoke to mentioned that compensation had fallen 20%-30%, that headcount was down, and that morale was an issue.
