FIF Launches Planning Model For Assessing Capacity Risk

NEW YORK--The Financial Information Forum (FIF) has launched their Capacity Planning Model at a presentation hosted at Salomon Smith Barney's downtown Manhattan office. The model, developed using Monte Carlo simulations, addresses the risks of network overload on high volume trading days.

The presentation, which released baseline traffic projections for Nasdaq, Consolidated Tape Association (CTA) and Options Price Reporting Association (OPRA) data, described the new model and discussed project
