What’s coming, and when
• Comments on the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision’s third consultative paper are due in on July 31. The committee is expected to issue a completed version of the Basel Accord revisions in the fourth quarter -- possibly October -- in preparation for implementation on December 31, 2006.

• A consultation paper to follow up July 2002’s discussion paper 13, UK implementation of the new Basel and EU capital adequacy standards, is scheduled for release in early July.
