Regulators concentrate on key op risk issues for QIS3

BASLE, SWITZERLAND -- Global banking regulators working on the operational risk aspects of the controversial Basle II banking accord are concentrating their efforts on some key issues as they prepare their part of the so-called QIS3 survey.

A lot of work is going into arriving at a consistent definition of bank gross income, which will be used as a marker for op risk in the less complex Basle II approaches to measuring the risk, regulators said.
