Op Risk Discussion Document Will Reflect Shifts In Regulator Thinking

BASLE, SWITZERLAND -- The discussion document on operational risk expected in September from global banking regulators will try to cover all the concerns raised by bankers about this controversial aspect of the Basle II banking accord, regulators said.

But the main elements of the document will focus on reviewing a range of advanced approaches to calculating op risk capital charges, giving some idea of the calibration of charges under the less-complex basic indicator and standardised approaches
