UK Capital Requirements Directive implementation issues main priority at recent FSA conference in London

LONDON – UK implementation issues dominated the FSA Implementation of the Capital Requirements Directive (CRD) in the UK conference in London in late March. The conference was held as the Financial Services Authority published a flurry of implementation documents on its website.

"It is good that the term Basel II has almost disappeared from the vocabulary and now we are calling it CRD in the UK," said Patrick Pearson, head of banking and financial conglomerates unit at the European Commission
