Basel Committee publishes additional QIS3 results

The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision has published additional statistical data from the third quantitative impact study (QIS3), which was originally released on May 5.

The data released, which focuses exclusively on the credit risk side of the Basel II capital requirement calculations, is all based on the results after modifications completed in the third consultative paper (CP3), which was released at the end of April.

The new paper includes quite a bit of new detail, including the number of banks completing the survey across geographic groupings, and the percentage change in capital requirements and contributions for the new approaches after the CP3
