Basel Committee: co-ordination is working well

Basel Committee sees good progress on implementation

The Basel Committee has given itself a pat on the back in its latest newsletter released yesterday, and concluded that its drive to co-ordinate supervision is working to help address implementation at institutions. The organisation singled out the paper High-level principles for the cross-border implementation of the New Accord as being helpful in orienting discussions among supervisors, and between supervisors and the industry.
