Romero: Sigtarp prosecutions set for the long haul

Special inspector general says agency to stay until at least 2020

The Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (Sigtarp) tells Operational Risk & Regulation the agency will continue bringing its aggressive prosecutions of bailout-related frauds for a long time.

"We're still finding crime. We're going to be here until every last dollar is paid back, and that's going to be for a very long time," says Christy Romero, who has been the special inspector general since April 2012.

"It's going to be until at least 2020, if not more. Who knows
