Former Dresdner Banker given record jail sentence for insider dealing

Christian Littlewood, his wife and their accomplice illicitly invested more than £2 million over eight years

A former Dresdner Kleinwort banker and financial adviser at Shore Capital has been jailed for 40 months.

Christian Littlewood and his wife, Angie Littlewood, both pleaded guilty to eight counts of insider dealing. The UK Financial Services Authority estimates they profited more than half a million pounds from their activities.

Their accomplice, Helmy Omar Sa’aid, has also been sentenced to two years in jail and ordered to pay £640,000. The regulator says it has yet to make a decision on
