Cesr urges mandatory transaction reporting for OTC derivatives

The Committee of European Securities Regulators (Cesr) says it supports European Commission (EC) plans to make transaction reporting of over-the-counter derivatives mandatory.

PARIS - The Committee of European Securities Regulators (Cesr) says it supports European Commission (EC) plans to make transaction reporting of over-the-counter derivatives mandatory.

In a letter to the the European Commission, Cesr chairman Eddy Wymeersch urges the European Union (EU) "to consider the appropriate steps for the adoption of a mandatory trade transparency regime for corporate bonds, structured finance products and credit derivatives as soon as practicable."
