Confidence in deregulation has fallen, says Cap Gemini

More than 40% of senior executives at energy companies are less confident about deregulation than a year ago, according to a survey* published in January by consultants Cap Gemini Ernst & Young (CGEY).

CGEY interviewed more than 130 executives at energy firms worldwide between September and November 2002. The survey found that 43% of executives were less positive about deregulation than they were 12 months ago, 29% were more positive and 28% said their views haven’t changed.
