CP3, QIS3 coming this week, Radwan report delayed until May 20

The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision is said to be preparing to release both the third consultative paper (CP3) and the third quantitative impact study (QIS3) this week.

One insider predicted Wednesday, April 30, as the most likely day for the pair of documents to be issued, as Thursday, May 1, is a holiday in many continental European countries. As little as two weeks ago, the industry had expected CP3 to be issued in mid-May. On the other hand, QIS3 has been delayed since late February, when sources at the BIS said it was originally going to be published.

The QIS3 results should show how the Basel Committee’s most recent revisions will affect banks
