UK CRACKS DOWN ON MORTGAGE ENDOWMENT COMPLAINT HANDLING -- The UK’s Financial Services Authority (FSA) sent a letter to chief executives of leading financial institutions, product providers and independent financial advisers in the mortgage endowment market in December 2004. In the letter, the FSA indicated that it was unhappy with the way certain firms had been handling mortgage endowment complaints, and said it would pursue enforcement action against firms that failed to handle complaints
