Brokerage launches environmental arm

Phoenix Partners Group, an interdealer credit and equity derivatives broker, has launched an environmental brokerage service for the worldwide renewable energy and emissions markets.

Currently based in New York, the unit will also launch a London desk shortly. It will provides a full range of products and services designed to enable corporations, financial institutions and project developers to trade in the worldwide voluntary and compliance environmental markets.

The brokerage will cover all environmental commodities, including European Union emission allowances, certified emission reductions (CER) requirements, Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) allowances, voluntary
