Basel III?
Im Juni 1999 legte der Basler Ausschuss für Bankenaufsicht einen Vorschlag zur Überarbeitung des Basel-I-Abkommens vor, denn in diesen einheitlichen regulatorischen Rahmenbedingungen für alle war das unterschiedlich hohe Entwicklungsniveau der Banken nicht angemessen berücksichtigt worden.
Bis Juni 2006 hatte der Ausschuss die überarbeiteten Rahmenbedingungen dann in mühsamer Detailarbeit fertig gestellt - Basel II. Die stufenweise Implementierung begann im Jahre 2007. Basel II war im Kern auf
