CIBC Switches From Paper Risk Reports To Graphical 'Risk Views'

CANADIAN Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) is rolling out graphical information software that lets its risk managers analyze trading exposures as three-dimensional charts, rather than using traditional paper-based tabular risk reports.

The graphics software, developed by Toronto-based Visible Decisions, is being implemented in phases at CIBC's Toronto headquarters.

Bank officials say printed tabular reports are too inflexible to answer sophisticated risk management questions.

CIBC eventually plans

Only users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
