Frankfurt may be more than 5,000 miles away from the trading floors of Hong Kong and Singapore, but dealers across the region have for months been scrutinising every move made by the European Central Bank, and dissecting every word spoken by European politicians. As in other markets, the eurozone sovereign debt crisis has dominated events in Asia – and caused many investors to pull back from trading.
