Icap has reclaimed its position as top broker in this year's poll, with a comprehensive victory in the interest rate categories. And after the consolidation of the past few years, attention is now turning to how best to leverage electronic trading capabilities. By Joe Morgan, with research by Xiao-Long Chen

Icap has reclaimed supremacy in the brokerage league tables, claiming top spot in the coveted interest rate poll. The London-based interdealer broker won 33 out of 55 interest rate categories and pushed rival Tullett Prebon into second place in the overall rankings.

Despite falling to second place, Tullett Prebon still made its presence felt in both interest rates and currencies. The firm won 12 interest rate categories and came first in currencies, winning 10 of the 23 categories.
