Ex-Deutsche commodity index salesman joins BNP Paribas

Matthew O’Connor, a New York-based managing director at Deutsche Bank with responsibility for commodity index sales, has taken a new job as head of investor sales for the Americas at BNP Paribas

Matthew O'Connor, a veteran salesman of commodity index products, has quit his job at Deutsche Bank to join BNP Paribas, the French bank says.

O'Connor, who began his new job on July 28, is working in the New York office of BNP Paribas as managing director and head of investor sales for the Americas, a spokeswoman for the French bank confirmed in an email to Energy Risk.

Previously, O'Connor had worked as a New York-based managing director at Deutsche Bank since 2010, helping to develop a desk
