Marathon recruits Duffy and De Leo

Marathon Asset Management has appointed Alfred De Leo and Patrick Duffy to its management team. De Leo is the senior US high-yield and distressed-debt trader and will concentrate his activity on the Marathon Special Opportunity fund.

This fund uses an opportunistic and event-driven investment strategy incorporating an actively managed portfolio of distressed debt, capital structure arbitrage trades and selective short trades. The fund is currently up 110% since its launch in April 1999. Marathon
