Sommers to leave CFTC

Jill Sommers, a Washington, DC-based commissioner at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), announced that she will be leaving her role at the agency at the end of March. In an exclusive interview with Energy Risk, Sommers says she is worn out amid the CFTC’s recent whirlwind of activity aimed at implementing the US Dodd-Frank Act. She adds she has no specific plans for her life after the CFTC.
