Vincente Martinez returns to succeed Sporkin

sec

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has named Vincente Martinez as the new head of the Office of Market Intelligence (OMI), succeeding Thomas Sporkin, the office's founding head, who left last year to go into private practice as a partner at Washington, DC financial law firm BuckleySandler.

Martinez was an assistant director at the OMI when it was set up in 2010, but left in January 2012 to join the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) as director of its whistleblower office
