COO at Barclays Wealth leaves following critical report

Andrew Tinney resigns after suppressing unflattering report into Barclays Wealth culture

The chief operating officer of Barclays Wealth has resigned after the discovery that he suppressed a highly critical report into culture at the US division.

While the report itself has not been released, Barclays confirmed it was commissioned in early 2012 to identify areas in Barclays Wealth in the US where change was required. It was conducted by US consultancy Genesis Ventures, which – according to press reports – found the division was "out of control" and had a "maverick culture".
