ANZ appoints new chief risk officer

Nigel Williams: new CRO at ANZ

ANZ has today announced the appointment of Nigel Williams as chief risk officer following the retirement of Chris Page, who had been in the role since 2008. Williams will report to chief executive Mike Smith and become a member of the ANZ management board. Williams' appointment is subject to regulatory approvals and is effective from December 17.

Williams joined ANZ in 2004 following the acquisition of National Bank of New Zealand where he held various credit, markets, treasury and operational
