Credit Suisse names Jewell-Tait as head of private banking for Australia

The Swiss banks names Edward Jewell-Tait as its Australian private banking head and says it will continue to add more senior bankers in Australia to strengthen its business in the market.

Credit Suisse has hired Edward Jewell-Tait as managing director and head of private banking Australia, replacing Ray McGregor, who is returning to Singapore to work in an unspecified role the Swiss bank. Jewell-Tait will join Credit Suisse on July 4 and drive collaboration between the private bank and the investment banking and asset management divisions to develop new services for private bank clients.

Based in Sydney, Jewell-Tait will report to Sydney-based David Livingstone, chief executive
