Morgan Stanley has confirmed its interim chief risk officer, Keishi Hotsuki, as CRO. Hotsuki was named interim CRO in January, replacing Ken deRegt, who moved to lead the bank's fixed-income business.

Hotsuki has been head of Morgan Stanley's market risk department since March 2008, before which he was global head of market risk management at Merrill Lynch. He will report to chief executive James Gorman and will join the bank's operating committee.
