The European Investment Bank has promoted Elia Kreivi to the position of head of the capital markets department.

She replaces Barbara Bargagli-Petrucci, who retired in March after 17 years in the role.

Kreivi has spent 16 years at the EIB, the last seven of which as its head of funding for the Americas, Asia and Pacific. She reports to Bertrand de Mazières, director-general of finance.
