Citi names McCullough as head of capital advisory in Asia

The US bank has hired Brian McCullough to bolster its Asia capital and liquidity optimisation client services, at a time when regulators are demanding more liquid assets while reducing their fungibility across borders

Citi has hired Brian McCullough as a managing director in the bank's financial institutions group (FIG) for the Asia-Pacific region, where he will lead the bank's capital advisory services for FIG clients across the region.

McCullough will work with capital markets origination, financial strategy group and ratings advisory in a bid to offer the US bank's clients the latest insights into capital and liquidity optimisation. Based in Hong Kong, he will report to Hong Kong-based Simon Yoo and
