Javelin preps for Sef status with credit and rates hires

Trading venue plans to register as swap execution facility soon

Javelin Capital Markets has hired Mike Hisler and Chris Koppenheffer to head its credit default swap and interest rate swap operations. Hisler was previously in New York as a managing partner with the boutique investment bank Hexagon Securities, and has also worked at UBS, running the bank's sales of corporate credit and structured products to hedge funds and insurance companies. He was also one of the founders of the Swaps and Derivatives Market Association, a US industry group, as was Javelin
