
EBA, Esma and Eiopa appoint senior management
New European banking, securities and insurance regulators name their first chairs

The new European financial regulatory bodies set up at the start of this year have named their first chairs. Andrea Enria, head of the supervisory regulations and policies department at the Bank of Italy, is to become chair of the London-based European Banking Authority (EBA), and Steven Maijoor, director at the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets, will chair the Brussels-based European Securities and Markets Authority (Esma), the regulators announced today.
