Hermes names director of government bonds

James Taylor joins after less than a year at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership.

James Taylor has joined Hermes Fund Managers as director of government bonds, reporting to Penni Coe, head of global government and inflation-linked bonds.

He joins after 11 months specialising in local currency and emerging market government bonds as investment director at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, which he left in September this year.

He previously spent a year-and-a-half as head of fixed income at Gulf International Bank, following 10 years at Morley Fund Management as senior
