Credit Suisse names James Hong to head Hong Kong private banking

Hong will provide client coverage and facilitate cross-divisional collaboration within the bank as the most senior representative in Hong Kong for Credit Suisse’s private banking business

Finance veteran James Hong has joined Credit Suisse as chief executive of its private bank in Hong Kong.

Hong has more than 25 years of international private banking and asset management experience in senior management positions. He was most recently at UBS global asset management, where he was the chairman of greater China from 2004 to 2009, and before that he was head of alternative and quantitative investments for Asia.

He will report to Singapore-based Marcel Kreis, head of private banking
