Standard Chartered names Oswald as global head of fixed-income research

The UK-based bank has named an emerging markets specialist with a strong quantitative pedigree to run global fixed-income research

Standard Chartered Bank has appointed William Oswald as global head of fixed-income research, to lead the bank's global efforts in foreign exchange, interest rates, credit and quantitative research. He will start in the newly created role this week.

Oswald is relocating to Singapore from London, where he was most recently the global head of emerging markets quantitative strategy and head of strategy for central and eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa at JP Morgan.
